Clif Kussmaul attended the Creativity & Cognition conference Jun 13-15 in Washington, DC and presented a poster on "Reading and writing with wikis" with Sharon Albert.

On April 26th, 2007 Muhlenberg College held the 5th Annual Inductions into the Pennsylvania Chi Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, a national honorary mathematics society. Twelve students were inducted. (pictures)
Clif Kussmaul attended the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance conference in Tampa, FL, Mar 22-24. He moderated a panel, and gave a workshop on user interface prototyping.

On February 24, 2007, the Mathematical Sciences Department held its 30th Annual High School Mathematics Contest. Faculty and students welcomed participants from nine local high schools. In the contest's first ever tie, Emmaus and Parkland earned first place honors while Northampton was second. (pictures)
February 7 is e Day (2/7)
On October 27-28, 2006 Jeffrey Levy ('09) and Patrick Prince ('09), presented student posters at the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges Eastern Conference at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. They presented research they did over the summer as part of an NSF-CRUI grant. Jeff won third place for best research poster, in a field of 22 graduate and undergraduate research posters. The title of his poster was XMLHttpRequest in Small Scale Web Programming. Patrick's poster was titled Digital Analysis of Herbivory.
